Books and a love of animals have always been a part of my life. 

Yet I was insecure and embarrassed about being dyslexic.

Feeling so passionate about animals and what I learned from them,

left me conflicted about becoming a writer. 

 

 

I went to see a Panda Bear. In this photo I took of him, he looked like I felt when I started to write; It was like hanging from a tree and staring into the murky waters of my future.

right before I interviewed Actor Richard Gere,

because I was talking to

Richard Gere!

Which has nothing to do with me coming up with the idea for the book.

Just name dropping.

I had the idea for this book; Evolution of a Wild Heart over 20 years ago. I wanted to put down on paper this Evolution that changed me and the lives of the wildlife I raised to be free.
It was a time before it was popular to talk about animal emotions or even my own.

Art can make a room. It is like the cherry on top of a perfect Sunday.

Over the years I have had the pleasure to work  with some great designers and was able to help set the stage for some incredible rooms.

 What an honor! 

I loved every minute of it.
